Every November, Cologne opens its arms (and its bars) to Bear Pride, and 2026 is the biggest edition yet: more events, more venues, more community than any year before it. From the 17th to the 22nd, bears from across Germany and well beyond take over the city's bars, clubs and cultural spaces, and for one week Cologne feels like it belongs to the bear community. The timing is no accident either. Cologne's Christmas markets fire up on the 16th, so Bear Pride week means mulled wine and fairy lights by day and a packed programme of parties, dinners and culture nights by evening. Wander the Altstadt market stalls in the afternoon, then head out for Bear Dinner, Bear Brunch or one of the big club nights once the sun goes down. Fancy something different? The Bear Pride Culture programme and the Xmas Walk give you a reason to explore the city beyond the usual haunts, and the Mr. Bear Germany crowning brings the whole week to a close in style.
