Ten days, one unmissable week. Every year over 8,000 bears from every corner of the world descend on Sitges, turning this stretch of Catalonian coastline into the biggest, most international bear gathering going. Balmins full from morning onwards, and Bear Alley rammed every night: for one week, Sitges basically becomes a bear town. The Bear Village pops up right on the seafront, DJs running the show, and it becomes the natural gravity point of the whole week: grab a drink, catch the sunset, watch the crowd roll in from Bear Alley and back again. Fancy something a bit different in the daytime? Head to the Bear Market at Hotel Calipolis for a browse, or hop on the train and give yourself a few hours in Barcelona, because a week of bears deserves at least one afternoon of Gaudí and tapas before you're back on the beach.
